Twitter sucks for the 90% of people who use it. I believe it should be used by those who actually have something relevant to announce like a new release of something.. breaking news about their product.. etc. Not 'I'm done going to the bathroom.. now brushing my teeth'. I can't believe some of the stuff I see people taking the time to tell everyone else about.

Good luck with the IRC client. I was a mIRC junky back in the day mostly because of its awesome scripting support. Looking forward to seeing some updates on it.

Hey, I sincerely hope you do finish this. There's needs to be a better IRC client.

I think it should be done in .Net 3.5 with WPF. I'm not a WPF ninja, but I work with it semi-regularly and I offer my assistance with this project if you decide to go that way.

Don't forget to plan upfront for powerful scripting and plug-in support.
